THE DOCTOR WHO MUSICAL: ACT II

he control room set appeared on stage as the 5th Doctor staggered towards an actor playing Peri. The Doctor began to sing:

Peri, over here
Hear my plee
In your need
I will always be there

You are young
You're afraid
Let yourself rest
You need rest
Drink the milk
Drink the milk
Drink the milk

You are the friend I have just met
Life has granted me a good friend
Our lives will die
One by one
If we don’t hurry up
Drink it now and go on
And I am dying
And will soon regenerate

Drink it now
Drink to life
You are young
You are only a young woman

You can live
You can stay
Let yourself survive
Let yourself live
If I change, let me change
Let yourself live
Drink the milk
Drink the milk
Drink the milk          (15)

The 5th Doctor opened Peri’s mouth and poured the bat milk from a small cup into her mouth, before collapsing onto the stage floor. The stage lights flickered as the Doctor disappeared under the stage to be replaced by an actor playing the 6th Doctor.

‘What just happened?’ asked Peri, frowning.

‘Change, my dear, and it seems not a moment too soon,’ Came the Doctor’s reply.

~~~
he Doctor walked predatorily towards Peri and began to strangle her. Peri screamed as a dozen other actors playing Peri walked on-stage and began to sing:
No one mourns the Doctor
No one mourns the Doctor at this moment
No one knows why the Doctor is acting like this
The good man goes to war!
Through his lives, Peri will learn
What we miss, when we lose the person we used to know
And Goodness knows
The Doctor's lives aren’t lonely
Goodness knows
The Doctor never strangles usually
It just shows when you're the Doctor
You're left only
Without your sanity
Yes, Goodness knows
The Doctor's lives aren’t lonely
Goodness knows
The Doctor strangles noone
Life never stops moving for the Doctor
He interferes mainly
With those he knows          (16)
Peri collapsed on the stage floor as the Doctor stepped over her body and declared:
I am the one and only, oh yeah
Call me, call me the Doctor
Or call me by the TARDIS number
Regeneration crisis made me do it
I'll now be doing things the way I do it
And yet you want to make me forget
Who I really am
Just tell me I know best
I'm far superior to all the rest
I am the one and only
Nobody I'd rather be
I am the one and only
You can't take that away from me
I've been a player in the crowd scene
A scientific advisor for a government agency
My soul changes
One more in a million faces
The best thoughts and most impressive ideas
Never Above my abilities
But after all this time I've been alive
I can now walk with dignity and pride
I am the one and only
Nobody I'd rather be
I am the one and only
You can't take that away from me
(Glances at 5th Doctor costume he has on)
I can't wear this cricket gear
Needs some changes
Because you'll find out that we come
In different tastes and varieties
No one can be myself like my incarnation can
For this life, I'm the best man
And while this may be true
You are the one and only fool
I am the one and only
Nobody I'd rather be
I am the one and only
You can't take that away from me
I am the one and only
I am the one and only
Nobody I'd rather be
I am the one and only
The one and only
You can't take that away from me          (17)
